About Yasmin
Yasmín Hansen is a preacher, teacher, and leader with over 14 years of experience in vocational ministry. Born in Argentina, she was raised in El Paso, Texas, where her parents pastor a church. She is a graduate of Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, where she currently serves as a professor.
Yasmín is passionate about loving and serving God and people and has dedicated her life to equipping the Church locally and globally. For over a decade, she has traveled throughout the United States and Central America, preaching the gospel and training leadership teams in both English and Spanish. She previously served for five years as a Youth Pastor and as the Assistant Director of Youth For The Nations, a movement that serves and equips more than 5,000 youth each summer.
Yasmín serves as a leader at Upperroom Dallas and leads 90:12, a ministry that helps people know God deeply, live biblically, and grow in spiritual maturity. Through biblical teaching and practical discipleship, 90:12 equips believers to be formed by God’s presence and live faithfully wherever He has placed them.
I grew up as a pastor’s kid, surrounded by faith and ministry, but my life has held many challenges. I was born with a heart defect, live with ADHD, and have experienced abuse. At nine years old, I moved from Argentina to the United States with my family to serve in ministry. That same year, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Even through her suffering, she continued to love God and others with remarkable joy and faith. After a long battle with illness, she ultimately passed away, leaving me struggling to reconcile her trust in God with the pain of losing her.
I faced deep depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and anger toward God. I continued attending church, but privately, I had lost hope for my future. I was living a double life, pretending everything was fine while actively struggling with sin, pain, and confusion.
Jesus saved my life. The turning point came in my bedroom when, after a long silence, I spoke honestly with God about my pain. I encountered His love and patience, and I chose to trust Him again. Healing came through a gradual journey of surrender, prayer, Scripture, and the faithful love of my family, a mentor, and my church community.
Today, I can say with confidence that God is good and faithful, even when life unfolds differently than we prayed. His presence restored my hope and awakened my desire to help others know Him deeply. My ministry flows from the story of Jesus, who came into the world, died for our sins, and rose again so that we may know Him, have eternal life, and share in His eternal glory.
My story.
